Spire View Housing Association is absolutely delighted to have been awarded £63,040 in funding from The National Lottery to support the Royston Corona Virus Response. This funding will be absolutely vital in allowing us, along with all our partners, to help the most vulnerable residents at Spire View, Copperwork and Blochairn Housing Associations by providing food parcels and hot meals for the next 16 weeks. We are completely overwhelmed by the support of The National Lottery and it just goes to show the fantastic projects that they support, especially in these most difficult times.
There are a few individuals that we would also like to thank….
Cllr Allan Casey : Dennistoun Ward who has fully supported our response from the outset and continues to work very closely with our group. Cllr Casey is a well known face in Royston and we are grateful for all the support he provides to us on an ongoing basis. We also want to thank the lovely Lauren Bennie, from Covid19 Support - Glasgow North East who has provided us with lots of information and guidance on what to do and what not to do! Lauren’s group are themselves doing a fantastic job across the North East of the City to help all those requiring support.
We would also like to offer a very special thanks to our amazing Tenancy Support Officer, Geraldine Burgess and her colleague Tracey Blair from the Simon Community Scotland who are on the frontline delivering this response. They are contacting tenants and residents every day, arranging volunteers, collecting food, delivering parcels….whilst still doing their day jobs! Well done ladies and thank you…you are both inspirational’.
