Dear Resident,

I wrote to you on 3rd April to provide you with update on the level of service delivery being provided in light of the ongoing situation with COVID 19.  As you can appreciate, this situation changes daily and this letter intends to provide you with the most up to date position.

Staff Availability

The majority of staff continue to work from home but can be contacted during normal office hours on our direct lines – numbers provided at the end of this letter.

Service Delivery


As previously advised, we continue to operate an emergency repairs service for day to day repairs.  The numbers to call are as detailed below:

Gas Servicing

Our Contractor has advised that they will recommence provision of this service and should you have a service due in the coming weeks, you will be contacted for access.  Your annual gas service is important to ensure the ongoing safety of your gas boiler.  However, we understand you may not wish to give access to your home at this time and should this be the case, please contact us to let us know and we will arrange the service at another time.


Grass Cutting

Our ground maintenance contractor is operating with depleted resources at the moment and therefore grass cutting is suspended at this time.


Vermin Control

Glasgow City Council Environmental Health have withdrawn the service for calls of this nature within properties.  We have managed to retain the services of a pest control contractor for now and will continue to respond to calls if possible.


Refuse/Bulk Uplifts

Glasgow City Council has suspended bulk uplift collections at the present time.    Bulk uplifts will be carried out by the Association as and when required.  Therefore, if you can avoid placing bulk out during this time, this would be greatly appreciated.


Ongoing Development – Glenbarr Street

The site continues to be closed.  Should you have any concerns about the site please contact the main office number to discuss.


Allocations are still currently suspended.  We will recommence allocations as soon as we possibly can.


Rent Payments

If you need any help or advice with your rent account, or if you are worried about a change in circumstances, due to loss of earnings, please contact your housing officer who will be able to offer advice or arrange a referral for you to one of our money advisers of financial capability officer.


Money Advice/Financial Capability Advice

Our money advice and financial capability services continue to operate, albeit remotely via telephone. If you require assistance, please contact us and we will arrange a referral for you.


Royston Coronavirus Response Group

The group continues to operate and is working tirelessly to ensure that we get food parcels/hot meals and supplies to those that need them. 


We recently contacted all of our residents who are over 70 or have underlying health conditions to determine what assistance they may require and we will continue to be in touch on a weekly basis.  If you have not been contacted by us and would like to speak to any of our staff, please contact us on the direct dial numbers below or contact our team at the Roystonhill Community Hub on 0141 212 7386 or email at
