International Women's Day at Roystonhill Community Hub

We are so excited to be part of this multi-organisation International Women's Day event this March. 

Tuesday the 8th of March 2022 marks the 111th International Women's Day and we have teamed up with Copperworks Housing Assocition, North Glasgow Healthy Living Communities, Royston Youth Action, North Glasgow Community Food Initiative, Rosemount Lifelong Learning and Rosemount Development Trust to bring our local community a fantastic event. 

With all sorts of activities from henna tattoos, a choir performance from St Roch's Primary School, free beauty treatments as well as craft stalls that involve creating your own spa treatments/ beauty products, and craft stalls for all the kids. We also have free pamper packs available to give away and a fantastic number of organisations coming along to share what they do and what services they can offer just for you, including The Simon Community and The Glasgow Community Food Network. 

The event is open to everyone in the community regardless of gender or age, so please come along and enjoy a fun day filled with loads of activities!

If you are interested North Glasgow Community Food Initiative along with Roystonhill Community Hub and North Glasgow Healthy Living Communities will be hosting a 'Women & Femininity' workshop the day before at their Community Meals event on Monday the 7th of March, so come along and enjoy a three course meal before having an in depth and interesting discussion about the differenes between men, women and femininity and masculinity. 

We are also running a 'Nominate your Shero' campaign, which you can take part in by checking out the Spire View Facebook Page, if you know someone who goes above and beyond and deserves recognition then message Roystonhill Community Hub on Facebook or Instagram with the person's name and why you have nominated them (pictures optional)!

Spire View Housing Association is delighted to work in partnership with all of the different organisations across Royston and we are all working hard together to give the local community the best event possible.
