Heritage Project
Spire View Housing Association has been awarded £78,584 to deliver a 2-year programme of work to create a digital heritage archive for the area. The fund has enabled us to create two part-time posts for a Heritage Engagement Officer and Heritage Assistant. This Heritage team will be collecting photos, recording oral histories and running creative workshops with groups and organisations across Royston.
The Royston Creative Heritage project seeks to open up the perception of heritage and increase accessibility for the diverse demographics and experiences that make up Royston as a community, through public exhibitions, publications and social media. The programme will culminate in the creation of an online platform showcasing creative outputs, stories and memories.
