Spire View is 'Positive About Refugees'

'Positive About Refugees' Award

Spire View Housing Association was lucky enough to recieve an award from The Bridges Programmes for our work with refugees. The Housing Association works with The Bridges Programme through Roystonhill Community Hub where they recruit and train volunteers in the areas they interested in, allowing them to gain valuable work experience, increase their skills and gain qualifications.

Tina Kimbumina is the Employability Caseworker for The Bridges Programme and in fact started off as one of Roystonhill Community Hub's first ever volunteers before moving on to her current employment. Tina, after working with us, started referring volunteers on to The Hub and we work together to give them the best opportunities we possibly can.

Since working with The Bridges Programme we have worked with a number of volunteers who have went on to employment and further education and we are so happy to have been a part of that journey.

We are incredibly grateful to the Bridges Programme for gifting us with this award and we look forward to our future partnership with such a fantastic organisation.
