Transfer of Engagements Stage 1 Notice

The formal proposal for the Transfer of Engagement of Copperworks Housing Association to Spire View Housing Association has officially been presented to the Copperworks tenants. The proposal sets out a number of of promises to tenants from both Copperworks and Spire View Housing Association, including: 

• Speedier Investment
• Lower rent rises over the longer term
• Keeping control of the community
• Keeping the local office and existing staff
• Improved services for tenants and the wider community
• Commitment to a name change within the first 12 months of transfer if that is what tenants want. 

Charlie Lunn, Chairperson of Spire View Housing Association said: "Over the past number of years, we have enjoyed a very successful and harmonious relationship with our partners at Copperworks. However, the focus for both Management Committees always has to be “what is in the best interest of our tenants and our community.

Therefore, over the past couple of years, we have begun to really focus on this and following consideration of various options, both Management Committees agreed that a Transfer of Engagements from Copperworks to Spire View would present the best opportunities going forward."
